River's Edge supports missions throughout the world, including International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
International Fellowship of Christians and Jews
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ) was founded in 1983 by Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein to promote understanding between
Jews and Christians and build broad support for Israel and other shared concerns. In 2008, IFCJ celebrated its 25th year of lifesaving
ministry. IFCJ's vision is to reverse a 2,000-year history of discord between Jews and Christians and replace it with a relationship
marked by dialogue, respect, and cooperation.
IFCJ's success has far exceeded expectations. Over the years, it has been a leader in Jewish-Christian relations, building bridges of
goodwill that have led to better understanding and cooperation between members of these two great faiths. It has funded humanitarian
assistance that has touched the lives of millions of Jews in Israel and around the world, provided life-giving aid to Israel's victims
of war and terror, and much more.
Through a very special ministry called On Wings of Eagles, IFCJ has helped hundreds of thousands of needy Jews escape poverty and anti-Semitism
and return to their biblical homeland. They come from all over the world – Russia, Argentina, India, Muslim countries, and elsewhere – to
escape persecution and to realize the dream of living in the land of their ancestors. When they arrive in Israel, On Wings of Eagles provides
them with resettlement assistance to help them become full, productive citizens. This ministry is serving to fulfill biblical prophecies that
promise that Jewish exiles will be gathered "from the four corners of the earth" (Isaiah 11:12).
